Making a film is not just selecting the right combination of director, writer, cast, and crew. It also involves shrewd calculations based on various things. Annamalai Films Private Limited, the producers of Pasupathy starrer ‘Vedigundu Murugesan’, seems to have mastered the art.

The shooting of ‘Vedigundu Murugesan’, which was progressing very fast, has now been postponed. The producers have decided to withhold the shooting till Pasupathy completes his commitment in Rajini starrer 'Kuselan'.

The reason behind the move is a shrewd calculation of the unit of ‘Vedigundu Murugesan’, directed by Moorthy. The unit feels that the popularity of Pasupathy would increase after the release of ‘Kuselan’ and hence it has decided to wait till ‘Kuselan’ is completed.

So the producers have told Pasupathy to finish his commitments with ‘Kuselan’ first. Till then the unit has planned to look after the editing and rerecording of the completed portions. The shooting of Pasupathy’s portions would resume once he comes back from ‘Kuselan’.

The producers plan to release the film after ‘Kuselan’ hits the halls, calculating a decent opening following Pasupathy’s enhanced popularity after the high profile movie ‘Kuselan’.
